Founding Story
Our founders recognized the need for a school that not only challenges students academically but also nurtures leadership, creativity, and a growth mindset. From the beginning, we embraced an innovative approach—one that prepares students for life through hands-on projects, critical thinking, and reflection.
Timeline
- 2002 – Envision Education is founded, launching a new model of deeper learning.
- 2003 – Envision Education opens its doors in Oakland, welcoming its first class of students.
- 2010 – The nationally recognized Portfolio Defense model is introduced, revolutionizing how students demonstrate mastery.
- 2015 – Envision expands its impact, growing to five schools across the Bay Area.
- Today – Our students continue to lead, innovate, and succeed—proving that education can be both rigorous and deeply personal.
